Job Description
Anthropic is seeking a Research Engineer to join their ML Performance and Scaling team, focusing on training production-pretrained models. This operational role involves debugging, optimizing, and scaling ML models at scale, responding to production issues, and collaborating with various teams. The role is highly impactful and requires a passion for both research and engineering.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience training large language models (LLMs) or deep expertise with JAX, TPU, PyTorch, or large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with production ML systems, observability tools, or evaluation infrastructure.
- Strong debugging skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Understanding of societal impacts of AI and responsible scaling.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
