Job Description
Anthropic is seeking a Research Engineer, Pretraining Scaling to train their production-level pretrained models and ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable AI systems. This role involves deep technical expertise in large-scale machine learning, debugging complex issues, and collaborating with a collaborative team across multiple teams. It's a hands-on, operational position demanding responsiveness to incidents and a passion for large-scale ML systems.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience training large language models (JAX, TPU, PyTorch, or similar)
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like JAX, TPU, PyTorch, or similar.
- Experience debugging complex, ambiguous problems across multiple layers of the stack
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
