Job Description
Apace is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide training and support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and community. DSPs will work with individuals to develop goals, build relationships, and enhance their capabilities. The role involves scheduling flexible hours, attending trainings, and assisting clients with personal and practical needs.
Requirements
- Ensuring a meaningful day for individuals by providing systematic training and customized supports.
- Participate in team meetings to ensure training meets individual needs.
- Develop training programs and maintain accurate data.
- Supervise training programs and provide guidance to individuals.
- Assist with safety precautions in a regulated environment.
- Assist with nutritional and dietetic needs.
- Assist in managing personal funds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
