Direct Support

Provide supervision, guidance, boundaries, and directions to residents at CHOR Youth & Family Services. Demonstrate support, communication, and compliance with CHOR's Sanctuary principles. Assist with planning and supervising programmed activities, maintaining safety and security of residents and facility.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 Years of Age
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or any Human Services field (highly preferred)
• Associate's degree with at least 1 year experience working with youth (accepted)
• Highschool Diploma or GED with 1 year of experience working with youth (accepted)
• Must pass all pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background clearances (Child, Criminal, FBI, and DMV)
• Must pass federal and state background checks
• Ability to demonstrate basic oral, written, and verbal communication
• Must attend all required trainings and shadowing prior to working on the unit
• Ability to work effectively among various levels of behaviors and maintain an atmosphere of safety, support, and guidance
