As a UX/UI Designer at Applaudo, you will operate across both experience and interface design, creating intuitive, scalable, and visually consistent solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and take ownership of interaction patterns, contribute to design systems, and make design decisions grounded in user needs and accessibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Service Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish)
- 3–5+ years of experience designing interfaces for complex digital products
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, component architecture, prototyping, and file structure
- Solid understanding of visual design principles (typography, layout, color, iconography, and spacing)
- Experience working within and contributing to design systems
- Strong knowledge of UX principles, including interaction design, usability heuristics, and flow design
- Experience conducting user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys) and translating insights into design decisions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions to stakeholders and teams
- Proactive mindset, identifying UX improvements without waiting for direction
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design best practices
- Experience using AI tools in the design process and identifying opportunities to improve workflows
- Awareness of cognitive biases in design decisions (e.g., confirmation bias, anchoring)
- Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (nice to have)
- Knowledge of prompt engineering (nice to have)
- Advanced English proficiency, working with distributed teams and stakeholders
