DFX Engineer III

Applied Materials is seeking a DFX Engineer III to optimize product cost, quality, and manufacturing cycle time. The successful candidate will have intermediate knowledge of DFx best practices and experience with semiconductor equipment manufacturing plants or facilities.

Requirements

• Intermediate knowledge of and the ability to incorporate DFx best practices to optimize product cost, quality, and manufacturing cycle time.
• Analyzes medium complex designs to ensure components and assemblies are manufacturable and produceable.
• Evaluates and implements medium complexity cost reduction ideas to reduce part/assembly costs.
• Identifies use cases for commonly used OEM's to leverage re-use.
• Participates in cross-functional teams to develop manufacturability and assembly-related BKMs.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
