Job Description
Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will own the end-to-end design, development, and validation of hardware required to enable Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) processes. The successful candidate will develop technical solutions by generating root-cause hypotheses, brainstorming design concepts, and performing hands-on testing to validate solutions.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in mechanical engineering with 4â7 years of applicable experience
- Experience in semiconductor equipment design or troubleshooting
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as Siemens NX, Creo (Pro/ENGINEER), or SolidWorks
- Experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, CFD-ACE, COMSOL)
- Demonstrated strength in at least one technical domain: thermal engineering, compressible flow, mechanical design, or machining/manufacturing processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and communicate technical concepts to non-experts
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced product development environment
