Mechanical Engineer III

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical depth, hands-on design experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with global teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions.

Requirements

• Lead mechanical design and development of equipment modules, assemblies, and subsystems from concept through release
• Perform detailed engineering analysis including stress, thermal, tolerance, and vibration analysis
• Create and review detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation using CAD tools
• Drive design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), reliability, and cost reduction initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including EE, systems engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and vendors
• Support prototype builds, integration, and qualification testing; troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with Applied Materials standards, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes
