Physicist / Scientist V

Applied Materials is seeking a Physicist/Scientist V to lead and execute engineering projects and spearhead research and development of new technologies. The successful candidate will have expertise in low-temperature plasma physics, electromagnetics, sputtering physics, and transport phenomena relevant to PVD systems.

Requirements

• Technical lead and/or execution of engineering projects
• Research and development of new technologies
• Definition of experiments and diagnostics
• Leadership of complex system projects
• Problem identification and troubleshooting
• Root-cause analysis of complex, cross-domain chamber behaviors
• Communication of complex physics concepts to engineering, management, and customer stakeholders
• Application and development of advanced principles in low-temperature plasma physics, electromagnetics, sputtering physics, and transport phenomena
