Technical Project/Program Manager

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions. We are seeking a Technical Project/Program Manager to join our team in Santa Clara, CA.

Requirements

• Act as a cross-functional interface between Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Service Business Units
• Build alignment across engineering, product, design and business
• Coordinate activities within AGS Operations: Planning, Purchasing and Engineering, and external suppliers to ensure no risk to customers
• Responsible for Business Process improvements, including maintaining matrix for process improvements and implementation of changes
• Prepare and execute on project plan and define program objectives, including planning to implementation, to meet project timelines, deliverables and stay within budget
• Run cross-functional program reviews; including creating dashboards and data visualization to present status and results
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues, then remove obstacles and assist in implementing solutions for a positive outcome
• Knowledge on Electro-Mechanical and Software engineering fundamentals
• Release engineering process documents
• Translation of business requirements into technical specs
• Data & Analytics
• Technical writing (design documentation, specs, program updates)
• Has knowledge of company best practices and how own function integrates with other roles; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
• Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
