Catering Assistant

We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting school catering services at Alsager School in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves assisting in the day-to-day running of the unit, making drinks to order, serving food to order, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation, and combinations
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made-to-order services
• Take payment and keep financial records as required
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
• Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery using equipment when trained to do so
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the work day
• Perform daily paper/computer work assigned
• Keeps diligent records as required
• Follows food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety requirements
• Undertake relevant training as required
