The food preparation person is responsible for assisting cooks, chefs or food service managers in preparing ingredients for recipes and performing other food preparation and service tasks.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation
• Knowledge of various food preparation methods, proper handling of knives, and food safety regulations
• Must be able to obtain the necessary food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math skills
• Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
