Resident District Manager - UMass Lowell Dining

The Resident District Manager will lead the largest collegiate food and beverage operations in Massachusetts, overseeing 2 dining rooms, 11 retail outlets, and 6,000 seat arena. The successful candidate will demonstrate progressive leadership skills, strong human resource and financial management skills, and a strong business sense.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience with P&L responsibility in hospitality, retail, or food and beverage industries
• Strong human resource and financial management skills
• Strong culinary skills with a focus on training and execution
• Ability to build social capital and develop critical relationships throughout the University
• Strong business sense and entrepreneurial skill set
• Ability to maintain a competitive outlook and scan for trends and evolving preferences
• Understanding of organizational dynamics and ability to build, retain and recruit a diverse and inclusive management team
• Focus on positive employee relations, succession planning and professional development
• Knowledge of facilities management, including maintenance/housekeeping services, capital planning and renovations
