Job Description
As a Designer 2 at Arc'teryx, you will design special project, partnership, and innovation apparel product solutions that align with the company's design philosophies. You will work onsite in the Tokyo Creation Center and partner remotely with peers in Vancouver, Canada. You will be responsible for creating and designing apparel products, contributing to the commercialization of innovative technologies, and collaborating with teams to ensure a fully commercialized product.
Requirements
- Degree in Design (Apparel or Industrial), or Textile Engineering
- 4+ years hands-on experience designing products, preferably textile based for Men's and/or Women's styles
- Effective communication in English, in both written and verbal communications
- Deep understanding of the APAC athlete – both from a product and use-case perspective
- Technical proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Gerber or equivalent pattern software
- Excellent team player with the ability to take direction and work independently
- Strong planning, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
