Principal Structural Engineer

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead the design and coordination of structures on a range of projects in various sectors. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in leading structural aspects of projects, and a commitment to technical excellence and sustainability.

Requirements

• Relevant degree
• Professional qualification, preferably as chartered member of the IStructE or the ICE
• Existing SC clearance or the eligibility to achieve SC security clearance
• Strong technical ability, based on deep knowledge of structural principles and developed through experience in a variety of projects
• Familiarity with commonly used structural materials, including knowledge of practical aspects of their specification and use on site
• Knowledge of some commonly used structural analysis and design programs
• Outstanding commitment to health and safety and knowledge of relevant legal requirements
• Excellent communication skills and experience in preparation of technical reports
• Attention to detail and acumen when reviewing the work of others to ensure quality
• Interest in sustainable solution and commitment to sustainable outcomes
• Ability to successfully manage teams and resources on projects
• Willingness to share your knowledge and mentor others
