Job Description
The Substitute Teacher supports the mission of the Catholic school by providing instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The substitute maintains a positive and respectful learning environment, adheres to lesson plans, and upholds the Catholic identity and values of the school.
Requirements
- Teaching certification (state or diocesan) preferred but not always required
- Practicing Catholic or respectful of the Catholic faith and willing to support its mission
- Classroom experience or experience working with children/adolescents is preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Completion of diocesan requirements: background check, Safe Environment training, and any additional local compliance standards
