Biomedical Technician/Equipment Support Specialist - Information Systems

Veterans Engineering seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician - Info/Sys to ensure the reliability, functionality, and safety of networked medical equipment in a healthcare facility.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training
• 3+ years of hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance
• 1+ year of specialized experience in medical information systems and networking
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record systems and integration
• Knowledge of computer virus protection software, available software patches and upgrades, information security tools, electronics, computers, and network theory
• Ability to interpret, identify, and apply network engineering principles and practices
