Job Description
Armstrong Transport Group, LLC, a 3rd party logistics provider, is seeking a Capacity Sales Representative to support a team of 100 agents. This role involves building relationships with customers, agents, and carriers, providing information about shipping requirements, and negotiating rates. The company has experienced rapid growth and a wide range of services offered.
Requirements
- Build relationships with customers, agents and other team members
- Research load information
- Ensure shipping carrier requirements and regulations are met
- Negotiate price and cost of carrier services
- Update service-level reports and provide analysis on results
- Escalate ongoing performance issues to Carrier Relations Manager
- Negotiating rates and schedules, working together to implement time and cost-saving innovations
- Provide technology and data to carriers
- Work hand in hand with carriers to provide outstanding service to customers
