Senior Data Engineer (w/m/d)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Berlin, Germany. You will be responsible for setting up, operating and further developing a scalable data platform, developing and maintaining robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensuring data quality, performance, scalability and cost optimization. As a team player with a high quality and ownership mindset, you will collaborate closely with analytics, product and engineering teams, and have the opportunity to actively co-determine the data strategy and evaluate new technologies.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in data engineering or a comparable role
• Very good programming knowledge in Python and SQL, as well as clean engineering standards (tests, CI/CD)
• Sound understanding of modern data architectures and data modeling
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and common data tools (e.g. Airflow, dbt, Spark, Snowflake)
• High quality and ownership mindset for productive data pipelines
• Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and translate business requirements
• Team player with interest in mentoring and continuous professional development
• Negotiation-proof English skills (required); German skills are a plus
