Job Description
Ascent is seeking a full-time Environmental Planning Director to join their Environmental Practice team in Los Angeles, the Inland Empire, or San Diego. This role involves driving business development, managing teams, leading complex projects, mentoring staff, and ensuring high-quality environmental planning solutions are delivered. The ideal candidate will be strategic, experienced, and passionate about environmental planning, with a strong understanding of CEQA and NEPA regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning, environmental studies, geography, natural resources, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience preparing environmental analysis documents (e.g., environmental impact reports, initial studies, constraints analyses).
- Proven experience managing and directing large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Expert knowledge of applicable environmental laws and regulations.
- Advanced expertise in environmental planning.
- Strong financial management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
