Ascentek is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support engineering, research and development activities, prototype builds, and transition-to-production efforts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s Degree or technical certificate in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on electronics, testing, or technician experience in an engineering or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals.
- Experience reading schematics, drawings, and following technical instructions.
- Basic soldering skills and ability to earn IPC J-STD-001 certification with provided training.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, meters, signal generators, analyzers, and other lab equipment.
- Experience with pneumatic and electrical hand tools.
- Familiarity with CAD (Inventor/SolidWorks) preferred.
- Experience with data acquisition systems or test software preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) is a plus.
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
