Dean of Students

We are accepting applications for the Dean of Students position at Aspire Richmond California College Preparatory Academy. A CA teaching credential is required. The Dean will support the Principal in building a culture that fosters respect and is driven by the principles of “College for Certain”.

Requirements

• Implements, models, and enforces policies and practices related to student discipline and Aspire cultural norms
• Participates in parent conferences involving matters related to discipline and attendance
• Documents, manages, and reports on student discipline data
• Collaborates with the Administrative team to ensure Student Services compliance
• Oversees and develops student mediation/conflict resolution programs
• Provides supervision of students during school-sponsored activities
• Plans and organizes extracurricular activities
• Assigns work, supervises, and evaluates direct reports
• Builds and maintains relationships with parents, community stakeholders, and sponsoring district
• Supports teachers with classroom management and delivers professional development
• Collaborates with Principal and Home Office to achieve site and organizational goals
• Manages emergency issues and participates in safety drills and emergency plans
