Job Description
Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and lead the development of fluid systems for nuclear and fusion innovation. The role involves managing a small team, reviewing design documents, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Industry experience in nuclear, thermal power, oil and gas, or other highly regulated sectors
- Experience in fluid system design development
- Proficiency in roles covering FEED to detailed design and EPC delivery
- Skilled in developing procurement specifications and collaborating with suppliers
- Strong technical background in thermal power or similar projects
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders
- Ability to identify and manage critical interfaces on major projects
- Knowledgeable in UK Health and Safety regulations, safety systems, HAZOP, and engineering standards
- Familiar with ASME, European, and UK codes and standards
- Experience or awareness in Systems Engineering is a plus
