Mechanical Design Engineer

Design and develop mechanical systems for enclosure structures, including payload integration platforms and mechanisms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and integrate subsystems into the overall system design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace or satellite industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and mechanical design.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools (e.g., Calculix, PrePoMax) for structural evaluation and optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of materials used in aerospace applications and the ability to select appropriate materials based on thermal and mechanical requirements.
• Familiarity with environmental testing standards for space applications, including thermal vacuum testing, vibration testing, and shock testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
