Maintenance Technician

We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join the Plant Services team at Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall upkeep of residential and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient maintenance.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience performing plumbing and carpentry work, minor electrical and appliance repairs, furniture repairs, and fixture/equipment maintenance
• Technical school background preferred
• Current and valid driver’s license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and perform simple arithmetic
• Strong professional communication skills
• Ability to work with a diverse team
• Organization and time-management skills
• Positive attitude and self-motivated
