Job Description
Shop Planner I (Pipe) is responsible for providing liaison between Planning, Scheduling, Production and Project Management, and verifying work package availability for planned production look-ahead. The role involves assessing material availability, coordinating minor work delays, and communicating discrepancies with supervision and the Planning team.
Requirements
- Two to four (2-4) years ship building experience
- Two (2) years shipbuilding planning experience preferred or equivalent
- Degrees in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering can be substituted for work experience
- Effective communication skills
- Must be able to organize and run meetings with multi-departmental personnel
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
