Mechanic

Auxilio is seeking a Mechanic to plan, schedule, and perform repair and preventative maintenance of a school district's bus fleet. This role involves mechanical repairs on buses, tire and brake replacements, safety inspections, and record keeping. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, confidentiality, and adherence to FERPA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver License
• Class B CDL License with Air Brakes and P-Endorsement preferred
• Minimum 1-year experience performing automotive/truck services
• HDT brakes certification preferred
• Experience with gasoline and diesel engines preferred
• ASE or diesel equivalent State HDT certification preferred
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Experience with school bus preventative maintenance principles and procedures
• Familiar with vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Experience with office procedures
• Ability to operate motor vehicles (potential for driving school bus)
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and regulations
• Understanding of occupational hazards
