Founding Robotics Hardware Architect

We are seeking a Founding Robotics Hardware Architect to join our robotics startup in Vietnam. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in taking hardware from concept to robust, repeated-use prototypes and a strong background in robotics, mechatronics, and industrial tools. The role involves designing and building dexterous robotic hardware, collaborating with a founding robotics hardware engineer, and leading system-level decisions. The company offers a flexible salary range of $80,000-$160,000 per annum, equity, and relocation assistance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in taking hardware from concept to robust, repeated-use prototypes
• Strong background in robotics, mechatronics, and industrial tools
• Comfort with ambiguity, learning via physical iteration
• Evidence-driven; collaborative prototyping in small teams, resolving tradeoffs
• Appreciation for real-world hardware survival beyond the lab
