Job Description
AWI Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Designer to optimize engineering designs for manufacturing process efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience, and 2 years of related experience.
Requirements
- Prepare design layouts, diagrams, bills of material, and drawings/schematics of components and assemblies
- Create and revise drawings
- Perform other engineering-related tasks as required
- Design vehicle components to meet customer requirements
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources
- Select parts and/or design components for compliant and cost/quality-conscious design
- Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production support
- Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner consistent with the clients values
