Traffic Control Flagger

Job Summary Join our team as a Traffic Control Flagger with Statewide Safety Systems, an AWP Safety Company. This is a great opportunity to start a career in traffic control without needing a college degree. You will perform manual labor in highway construction projects, conduct preventative maintenance, and support the daily maintenance of all vehicles. You will be required to stand for an extensive period of time and wear Personal Protective Equipment. The starting rate is $18.90, and you can move up in pay after 1,001 and 2,001 hours.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• 18 years of age and older
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy / highway construction work
• Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
• Ability to read and comprehend work orders and plans
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry +50lbs
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Clean insurable abstract
• Ability to acquire and maintain DOT physical
• Able to pass Drug testing
• Able to pass Federal Background Check
• Basic literacy: Ability to read, write and record routine data and information
