Join our interdisciplinary team as a Child Care Provider, supporting families in substance use recovery by overseeing the daily care and development of children in treatment with their parents.
Requirements
- Ensure children are safe, nurturing and healthy, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
- Provide children’s basic needs such as changing diapers, helping with hygiene and supporting healthy eating.
- Support children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
- Open communication with parents about children’s activities, behaviors, and needs.
- Planning, leading and guiding schedules and activities.
- Teaching children new skills and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
- Maintaining records of children’s progress, interests, and issues that arise.
- Working with families in an individual and group setting covering topics such as parenting, developmental milestones, and new routines in a positive and encouraging manner.
- Ensure equipment and childcare areas are clean and well maintained.
- Ensure children are supervised at all times.
- Assess and report any concerns of abuse.
- Follow facility emergency procedures.
- Promotes inclusion through Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.
- Assists with front desk or support staff coverage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
