Director, Systems Engineering

Axonius is seeking a Director of Systems Engineering to lead a global team of IT engineers in building secure, automated internal systems as the company scales globally. The role involves developing a global AI strategy, architecting automation pipelines, and establishing a scalable Identity and Access Management model.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with a proven track record of maturing systems in rapidly scaling technology environments
• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams and owning internal IT systems, including influencing senior-level stakeholders
• Proven experience architecting and deploying enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks and cloud-native, SaaS-first architectures
• Hands-on experience managing macOS and Windows-based enterprise environments without reliance on Active Directory or on-site infrastructure
• Proven experience designing operational automation strategies and AI policy development within an enterprise environment
• Technical proficiency with the modern IT stack, specifically Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Zendesk, and Atlassian
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex architectures into technical design documents, SOPs, and executive roadmaps
• Experience managing global engineering standards across multiple time zones using asynchronous collaboration tools
• Expertise in integrating Generative AI platforms (such as Gemini and Claude) into developer and enterprise workflows
• Experience managing the implementation and support of business operations in alignment with specific budgetary and efficiency metrics
