Job Description
Mine Engineer, Site Support position required for B2Gold, a responsible international senior gold producer. The successful candidate will work with mine site staff to optimize production and cost performance, maintain effective communication, and evaluate and report site operational performance.
Requirements
- University degree in Mining, Geological, or Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university
- Minimum three years of experience in the mining industry, with site experience preferred
- Experienced in production planning, budget preparation, economic evaluation, and open pit and underground mine design
- Experience working with Microsoft software (Word, Outlook, Excel, Project) and at least one mine design/planning system (Deswik, MineSite, Datamine, Surpac, Vulcan, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment but also available to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
