Babcock is seeking a Project Materials Manager to manage project performance, material planning, and execution. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in an Engineering or Project Management discipline and a minimum of 6 years of experience supporting the delivery of major projects or operations.
Requirements
- Manage 1-2 direct reports
- Be responsible for the occupational Health & Safety of all direct reports
- Support project manager in day-to-day management of project performance
- Manage material scope, deliverables, and change for assigned activities
- Develop and lead the implementation of full-scale material management/execution plans
- Manage costs and budgets through effective engagement with functional group stakeholders
- Develop and support project schedules, including definition and achievement of key events cardinal dates and strategy to supply materials to production
- Ensure project follows required quality assurance commitments in material management
- Monitor and report on progress of the project to appropriate stakeholders
- Coordinate stakeholders, service providers, and subcontractors to deliver on project commitments
- Integrate functional teams to ensure systems are handed over and set to work seamlessly
- Perform project reviews to evaluate performance, define progress, identify problems and their solutions, and develop reports to regularly communicate findings
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Develop and deliver performance improvement initiatives
