Test Specialist, Mechanical

Test Specialist, Mechanical at Babcock Canada. Responsible for carrying out testing, acceptance, and maintenance activities for various Victoria Class Submarine (VCS) systems and equipment.

Requirements

• Strong technical skills including post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar, or equivalent experience.
• Eligible for recognition as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT), Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with the applicable provincial association.
• 4+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Working knowledge in one or more mechanical related technologies.
• Awareness of functional and non-functional system performance testing in new construction or retro-commissioning, an asset.
• VCS operational experience, including testing and acceptance of VCS systems, an asset.
• Marine, offshore oil and gas drilling or naval vessel experience, an asset.
• Strong communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal.
• Eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
