As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Babcock Canada, you will contribute to the successful delivery of technical deliverables, prepare and approve deviations and waivers for submarine electrical equipment, and provide mentoring and professional oversight for a team of engineers and technologists.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, licensed to practice in Canada as a Professional Engineer
- 8+ years of electrical engineering experience (naval industry considered an asset)
- 3+ years of submarine specific experience (considered an asset)
- Experience in design and maintenance of platform electrical systems such as power and distribution, control and instrumentation, motors, generators and propulsion
- Experience in design and maintenance of combat electrical systems such as radar, sonar and communications
- Experience providing professional oversight and mentorship within a technical team
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports, and making presentations
