The Per Diem Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with the Health Services team on an as needed basis to provide preventive, episodic, and ongoing health care to Babson undergraduate and graduate students, as well as students from the Olin College of Engineering.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; MSN required.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience as a Family, Women’s Health, or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
- Current national NP certification, Massachusetts and Federal prescribing authorization, and CPR certification.
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in alignment with institutional policies and professional standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and Health Services staff.
- Demonstrated passion for college health and understanding of student development.
- Ability to provide inclusive, culturally responsive care to a diverse student population.
- A positive attitude, strong empathy, and a demonstrated passion for supporting adolescent and college-aid populations.
- Must have knowledge of state immunization laws and experience with administering vaccines, medications and medical treatments.
- Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing needs, conditions, or priorities.
- Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.
- Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks.
- Must have strong computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
