Babylist is seeking an Assistant Showroom Manager to help lead our New York showroom in SoHo. The role involves delivering a thoughtful, high-touch experience for every guest who walks through the door, running shifts, guiding the team, and ensuring everything from staffing to merchandising to guest flow is dialed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of retail leadership experience, including hiring, scheduling, and training frontline teams
- Experience acting as manager-on-duty or second-in-command, comfortable stepping in to run the showroom and make decisions in real time
- Proven ability to coach and develop retail teams, improving performance through in-the-moment feedback
- Strong operational instincts, including managing staffing coverage, inventory awareness, and daily execution
- Hands-on experience with POS and inventory systems (e.g., Shopify POS, Lightspeed, or similar), able to operate independently
- Experience maintaining visual merchandising standards in a dynamic retail or experiential environment
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends and peak retail hours
- Able to stand for 8–10 hour shifts and lift up to 30 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
