Job Description
Metrology Technician (Calibration) Electrical role is responsible for applying measurement science, mathematics, physics, and engineering theory and principles to design, develop processes and methods for calibrating electrical, dimensional, optical, physical, mechanical, environmental and/or chemical Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
Requirements
- Successful completion of formal training over a minimum period of 4 years directed towards the calibration, repair and alignment of either Electrical or Mechanical, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)
- At least 5 years of practical experience involved in the calibration and repair of Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and RSAF specific TMDE used in the support of military aircraft systems
- High level of managerial and engineering judgment, creativity, initiative and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate with high level RSAF and BAE Systems personnel both orally and in writing
- High standard of personal integrity and commitment to working to a high standard of ethical behaviour
- Computer literacy and experienced user of the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
