Job Description
The Line & Grade Instrument Man II provides expertise and coordination in using surveying equipment to ensure accurate and effective layout of work on a project.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 4 years' construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years' experience as a Line & Grade Instrument Man I
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies
- Good listening skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; understanding of geometry and trigonometry
- Knowledge of industry tolerances
- Working knowledge in the use of the coordinate system
- Ability to work harmoniously, respectfully and effectively with subordinates, peers, supervisors and clients
- Team player, who provides information to the workforce, resolves conflict, and provides feedback
- Ability to direct work
