Job Description
The Vice President of Corporate Safety is responsible for overseeing and leading the development, implementation, and management of the company's safety programs and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Lead the development and execution of corporate safety and risk management strategies that align with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs and policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identify potential risks to the company’s operations, assets, and employees, and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies to address these risks.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations across all operations, both on-site and in the office.
- Lead investigations of safety incidents and near misses, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to operational teams on safety best practices, risk management procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company is always up to date with safety standards and risk management practices.
- Collaborate with senior management to report on safety performance, risk assessments, and improvements to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, regulatory agencies, and insurance providers to stay informed on best practices and industry developments.
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement through employee engagement, awareness campaigns, and recognition programs.
- Oversee the development and management of safety budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support safety initiatives.
