Chemical Dependency Counselor (Outpatient)

Provides complex screening, assessment, crisis intervention, intake and treatment planning, individual and group substance use disorder counseling, and support services to clients. Assists with overseeing screening and assessing of the substance use disorder, psychosocial and environmental status of clients, coordinating and monitoring referral of clients to clinical and other resources and services. Serves as team lead in developing counseling programs and interventions as well as related training for staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• AA degree in Chemical Dependency (preferred)
• Two years of experience as a Chemical Dependency counselor or closely related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
• Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) REQUIRED
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) preferred
