Job Description
Weil Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to work alongside the physician and assist with patient care, including taking basic vital signs, preparing the room, verifying patient information, and scheduling the patient's next appointment.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification with 2 years in a healthcare position preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required, higher or continuing education a plus.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a wound.
- Strong communication skills and ability to actively listen.
- Strong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office duties.
- Customer services skills.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures.
