BambooHR is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Engineering to translate the company’s technical vision into an executable engineering strategy and roadmap. In this role, you will partner closely with the CTO and cross-functional leaders to shape how our products are built and evolved, while leading a high-performing engineering organization through growth and AI adoption.
Requirements
- Act as a prominent role model for BambooHR’s values, championing a culture of trust, accountability, and data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with strategic cross-functional partners to define and prioritize technical strategy, investments, and tradeoffs that advance the company mission.
- Own and clearly communicate the product and technology risk profile, including architecture, technical debt, scalability, execution, talent, and security risks, to the executive leadership team and Board.
- Design and lead a scalable, high-performing engineering organization that delivers consistently and strengthens over time.
- Establish and evolve operating rhythms, development processes, and performance metrics that provide visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes and continuously improve execution.
- Lead the engineering organization through AI adoption, applying AI and ML to how software is built and to the value delivered to customers, while maintaining personal credibility in emerging practices.
- Own engineering budget, resource planning, and financial performance, ensuring disciplined investment aligned with company priorities and long-term strategy.
- Attract, hire, develop, and hold accountable strong engineering leaders, building a leadership team that improves over time.
- Translate complex technical, organizational, and strategic topics into clear narratives that align teams and drive action.
