Legal Counsel

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Counsel with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience to join our in-house legal team.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited US law school and admission to at least one state bar
• 2+ years of legal experience either in a law firm or in-house
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Experience with contract redlining and negotiation
• Experience with software licensing and/or SaaS contracting preferred
• Comprehensive general legal knowledge with the ability to communicate appropriately with non-lawyers
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity in problem-solving
• A business-oriented mindset with a practical approach to legal risk
• Superior organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to spot red flags and minimize company risks while maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit to find a path forward
• Independence and the ability to operate as a self-starter and leader with minimal supervision
• Ability to earn trust (with both internal and external stakeholders) and interpersonal skills to facilitate successful interactions with management, team members, and third parties
• Sound and balanced business judgment and keen strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• To be team-oriented and enjoy working closely with colleagues to achieve results
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
• Strong computer skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
• Proficiency in Ironclad desired, or comparable CMS experience
