Senior Control Systems Project Lead

Bantrel is seeking a Senior Control Systems Project Lead to join its Mining team, based out of Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will lead control system design and implementation for an ABB 800xA DCS, develop and maintain control philosophies, and own high-level control system architecture. Join Bantrel in this full-time permanent role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems, or related discipline
• 12+ years of experience in industrial control systems engineering
• Hands-on experience leading ABB 800xA projects, including architecture and system design
• Strong understanding of control system architecture and integration, operator interface design and alarm management, and multi-vendor and multi-team project environments
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across programming groups, project teams, and vendors
• Experience working in brownfield and live operating facilities
• Comfortable working with evolving scope and incomplete information
• Requires professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
• Experience coordinating OT networking and system interties
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and infrastructure considerations in control systems
• Prior experience acting as technical authority or design lead
