We are growing and are looking for an Environmental Engineer I or II, Water at our Carlin operation. As an Environmental professional, you will manage compliance programs for water related permits and authorizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, civil engineering, mine engineering, chemical engineering, or other related field required
- At least one (1) to three (3) years direct experience in environmental compliance, including regulatory agency interactions preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills required
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others required
- Ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement required
- Strong computer skills including experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel required
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors throughout the year in all weather conditions required
- Ability to lift objects up to 40 lbs. required
- Ability to drive results and ensure completion of time sensitive deadlines required
- Familiarity with compliance systems and ISO 14001 preferred
- General understanding of mining operations - preferred
