We are looking for a Metallurgy Superintendent to join our Carlin Complex Operations team. The successful candidate will lead our metallurgical team and be responsible for ensuring a safe, productive, and cost-effective operation.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical engineering, Metallurgical engineering, or a related degree
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a specialty area are necessary, including leadership roles in technical teams
- Working knowledge and experience working with the following unit operations: roasters, autoclaves, acid plants, CIL/CIP, flotation, comminution, and water treatment
- In-depth understanding of gold pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy along with experimental design
- Understanding of project management principles preferred
- Experience in supervision of technical staff required
- Experience presenting and publishing high-quality work required
- Proven ability to lead innovative projects from conception through design
- Knowledge of metallurgical accounting practices and procedures
- Ability to create teams, lead teams, work as part of a team, as well as work independently when needed
- Strong proven oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent administrative, organization, and supervisor skills
- Maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state
