Medical Science Liaison- Mid Atlantic

The Medical Science Liaison position plays a key role in clinical and scientific education to internal and external parties, providing educational support to healthcare professionals and organizations on Baylor Genetics products and services.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific field (MS in Genetic Counseling, PhD, NP, MD)
• Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience in pediatric medicine with an emphasis on genetics
• 2+ years of industry experience in Medical Affairs
• Familiarity with key aspects of genomics and molecular diagnostics technologies
• Proven history delivering high-quality scientific presentations
• Proven history of authoring peer-reviewed scientific publications, scientific posters, and abstracts
• Fluency with all MS Office and SharePoint software
• Experience leading initiatives and/or teams cross-functionally
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively on multiple projects with competing priorities
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a complex and matrixed environment
• Self-driven attitude to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision towards a common goal
• Ability to read, interpret, and convey complex scientific information to audiences of varying backgrounds
