The Medical Science Liaison position plays a key role in clinical and scientific education to internal and external parties, providing educational support to healthcare professionals and organizations on Baylor Genetics products and services.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a scientific field (MS in Genetic Counseling, PhD, NP, MD)
- Minimum of 3+ years of clinical experience in pediatric medicine with an emphasis on genetics
- 2+ years of industry experience in Medical Affairs
- Familiarity with key aspects of genomics and molecular diagnostics technologies
- Proven history delivering high-quality scientific presentations
- Proven history of authoring peer-reviewed scientific publications, scientific posters, and abstracts
- Fluency with all MS Office and SharePoint software
- Experience leading initiatives and/or teams cross-functionally
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively on multiple projects with competing priorities
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a complex and matrixed environment
- Self-driven attitude to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision towards a common goal
- Ability to read, interpret, and convey complex scientific information to audiences of varying backgrounds
