Job Description
Substance Abuse Counselor needed to assist patients through medically assisting programs and offer techniques for handling opioid addiction. Conducts group sessions and individual sessions for crisis management and coping strategies. Evaluates patients' progress during therapy.
Requirements
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification (CADC)
- LCSW/LICSW, LMHC and/or LADC (preferred)
- Demonstrated counseling experience
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals
- Positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patient population
